
She was preceded in death by her father Dr. G. Russell Kuehnle , step-father George R. Ferguson III, and mother Ruth Bateman Ferguson.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Wallace (Wayne) Scott, one son Wade Scott and his wife Jody; grandchildren Cooper and Maggie; two brothers George R. Ferguson IV and his partner Lonnie Ryan of Palm Desert; John B. Ferguson of Houston; one sister Terry F. Ferguson of Houston; and one nephew Jay B. Ferguson and his wife Sarah of Houston.
Judy was a graduate of the University Lab School in 1961 and received a Business Administration degree from LSU in 1965. She worked several years for R. V. Gildersleeve Co., Inc. She was a member of University Methodist Church where she loved to watch her son perform in the choir. She was the owner of Industrial Controls and Accessories which she and her husband operated successfully for many years.
Judy enjoyed the simple pleasures in life: chatting with friends and family, sending personalized note cards and heartfelt gifts to those she loved and adoration for her pets, especially Sebastian. She made it no secret that her greatest joy came from spending time with her grandchildren whom she loved unconditionally.
Judy’s talents were many. She and her husband loved to dance and she was the greatest listener you would ever meet. Her friendly and authentic heart drew many to her.
The family would like to thank the doctors and staff of the Baton Rouge General in Baton Rouge for their incredible care provided to Judy and the entire family.

Visitation will be held from 12:00pm to 2:00pm Friday, January 29, 2021 at Greenoaks Funeral Home-9595 Florida Blvd Baton Rouge, La 70815. Services will be at 2:00pm Friday, January 29, 2021 at Greenoaks Funeral Home with interment to follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park.
