Julie Bayhi McGinnis

Julie Bayhi McGinnis, age 62, peacefully passed away on August 10, 2024 just after midnight. She was born in Redondo Beach, California on August 23, 1961. Julie spent many years working in the retail industry until she braved the unknown and went to school to become a thriving real estate agent. But her greatest and most rewarding job was being a loving mother and grandmother, which she cherished most of all. To know Julie was to love Julie. She touched the hearts of everyone she met. She is survived by her husband, Shawn McGinnis; her daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie and James Gray; her grandchildren Landon and Amelia Gray; her son, John Bayhi; her sister Victoria Redler; her nephews Gabriel (Lexi) and Gavin Redler; her stepdaughter and her husband, Tiffany and Mason Carter; step-grandchildren, Camden and Cooper Carter; and her stepson, Micah McGinnis. She is preceded in death by her mother, Lynn Garrett. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service on Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge.
