
Kathryn Elizabeth Comish Rowland passed away on Wednesday, April 25, 2007, at Our Lady of theLakeRegionalMedicalCenter. She was 78 and a native and resident of Baton Rouge. She was a retired math and science teacher fromRedemptoristJunior High School with 18 years of service. She was a graduate ofBaton RougeHigh School and LSU and a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority. A beloved mother of four children, grandmother of nine and great-grandmother of two, Mrs. Rowland loved her family, traveling and playing Bridge. Visitation at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government St., on Sunday, April 29, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and will continue on Monday, April 30, at St. Gerard Majella Catholic Church, 5354 Plank Road. from 10 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at noon. Interment inRoselawnMemorial Park. Mrs. Rowland is survived by two daughters, Barbara Rowland McLain and husband Floyd of Denham Springs, and Patricia Rowland Adams of Baton Rouge; two sons, Louis Carey Rowland and wife Pat of Boone, N.C., and Michael Joseph Rowland and wife Michelle of Geismar; two stepsisters, Carolyn Greer Heard and Ann Greer McMains, both of Baton Rouge; and nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, Louis A. Rowland Jr.; mother, Lelia Bergeron Comish Greer; father, Henry Carey Comish; and stepfather, Julius C. Greer. Memorial donations may be made to Capital Area United Way. The family extends heartfelt thanks to the staff of Homewatch Caregivers for their kindness and compassion.
