Born in Covington, LA on August 2, 1990, she attended Fontainebleau High School in Mandeville, LA and Southeastern University of Louisiana in Hammond. She was married to her beloved wife, Lindsly Laird Winters, and together they have four loving pets. Lara loved many things, including music, animals, traveling, spending time at the beach and sharing time with friends and family. Formally trained in music, she earned roles in Gifted and Talented Music from age 10 through high school. A gifted singer, Lara sang her first song at age 1.
Lara had countless friends who loved her energy, her humor, her passion, her compassion and most of all, her love for Lindsly. While their time together will never be long enough, it was a love many could only dream to have. Throughout her life, she brought joy and surprise to all around her. She was always making other people laugh and smile with her wit and charm. Lara never met a stranger and could make a friend and become a friend to anyone in need.
Lara is survived by her wife, Lindsly Laird Winters, her parents Faith and Michael Winters, her sister and godmother Jessica Winters, her niece Breanne Dupuy, grandfather Clark M. Humphrey, aunts Shawn Humphrey (Jay Cudd), Kelly Winters Byers (John), Tracy Winters Pourciau (Chuck), her uncle and godfather Mark Winters, her father and mother-in-law, Ed and Mimi Roberson, her sister-in-law Katharine Roberson, her brothers-in-law Edward Roberson, Jr and David Roberson; niece and nephews Eaden Roberson and Damion Roberson.
