Lawrence Castille

Castille, Lawrence, 68, a native of Rosa, LA and a resident of Baton Rouge, LA passed away on Sunday July 31, 2011. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. As a retired employee for the city of Baton Rouge, Lawrence spent most of his time making music. An accomplished musician on a variety of instruments, Lawrence played in a number of bands (most recently with LAFX). Lawrence is survived by his wife of 7 ½ years, Martha “Marty” Wilson Castille; children: Susie Castille, and Buddy Castille and wife Betty; stepchildren: Jennifer McElroy and husband Doug, and Amanda Hart; grandchildren: Shane Castille and Skylar Castille; step grandchildren: Megan Hart, Jordan Westbrook, Jackson McElroy, André Tullier and wife Braley, and Trad Tullier; step great grandchildren: Emma Rae Tullier and Roman Tullier; siblings: Albert Castille and wife Mary, Curris Castille and wife Betty, Eula Lewis and husband Dennis; and Shirley Coates; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; son Eddie Castille; daughter Angela Castille; siblings: Lambert Castille, Vorice Castille, and Jake Castille; and brother-in-law Shorty Coates. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Tuesday August 2, 2011 from 5pm until 9pm and continuing on Wednesday August 3, 2011 from 9am until time of services at 12pm. Interment will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park.
