

He was a graduate of Garfield Heights High School, earned a BA degree with honors in economics from Oberlin College, an MBA degree from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and was elected to Beta Gamma Sigma honorary business society.
He worked in retail merchandising and store operations for over 20 years with the Higbee Company department store in Cleveland. In Baton Rouge, he was a store manager and merchandise controller for Goudchaux Maison Blanche department store. He also worked in specialty discount stores in Baton Rouge. He worked for and retired from the Robinson Brothers Lincoln Mercury dealership in Baton Rouge.
He was active in several churches in Cleveland and Baton Rouge where he served as chief lay officer, longtime teacher, and board member. He was also a Sunday School teacher for over 40 years and a lifelong student of theology.
Larry is survived by two sons, Steven J. Davis (Helen) of Centerville, Ohio and Robert L. Davis of Baton Rouge. He had three granddaughters, Janette (husband Russ), Elizabeth (husband Kyle), and Katherine Davis, as well as a sister, Jane Haug (husband Kenneth), niece Pamela Kaufman, and nephew David Haug.
Visitation will be at Rabenhorst on Government Street on Wednesday March 11, from 6 to 8 p.m. Visitation will also be held at First United Methodist Church of Baton Rouge on Thursday, March 12, at 10 a.m. with a memorial service at 11:00 a.m.
He will be buried at Sunset Memorial Gardens in North Olmsted, Ohio.
