Larry was born in New Orleans on March 28,1947 and passed away on April 4, 2025, at the age of 78.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Adeline Embry Frost, and his father Lawrence N. Frost Sr. He is survived by Frances, his cherished wife of 57 years, his son Dr. Lawrence N. Frost, III (Samantha), his son Christopher M. Frost (Vivian), daughter Laura A. Frost (Phillip Barker) and his grandchildren, Charles N. Frost, Katharine A. Frost.
He is also survived by his sister, Dianna F. Underhill (Lee).
A beloved husband, father, grandfather, friend, and active member of the community. Larry’s legacy is one of passion, dedication, and leadership, leaving an enduring mark on the lives of all who knew him.
A true lover of the outdoors, Larry found peace and joy in nature, whether on the water or in the woods. He cherished hunting and fishing trips with friends and family, where laughter and camaraderie created moments that will be treasured forever. For over 40 years, he was an integral part of the Lightning Class sailing community, where he not only honed his skills but also built lifelong friendships and shared his love for the sport with others.
Larry was a dedicated legacy member of the Southern Yacht Club in New Orleans for over 50 years, where he found both fellowship and inspiration. His contributions to the club and his commitment to the sailing community will be remembered with deep gratitude.
Larry devoted more than 40 years as the President and CEO of Frost-Barber Inc., where his vision and leadership helped shape the company’s success. Known and respected throughout the business community, he was admired for his integrity, commitment, and ability to bring people together. His presence in the industry and his contributions to the local economy will not be forgotten.
With pride as a Rotarian, he proudly served as the Sergeant at Arms and remained an active member for more than 30 years.
Visitation will be on Friday, April 11 from 11am to 2 pm at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government Street.
Interment will take place at a later date.
