

Devoted husband, loving father and grandfather, and a dedicated brother and friend passed away in the early morning hours of Monday, March 12, 2012, at the age of 74. He was an avid LSU fan, enjoyed cooking, and loved sharing food and sporting events with friends and family. He devoted over 50 years to the sheet metal trade and was a very hard worker and his reputation preceded him in that trade. He was currently employed with Corporate Mechanical Contractors. He was a native and resident of Baton Rouge and a 1955 graduate of Baton Rouge High. He served in the US National Guard. He will truly be missed by many. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd. on Thursday, March 15, 2012, from 5 PM until 9 PM and will resume Friday, March 16, 2012 from 9 AM until service at 10 AM. Interment will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park. He is survived by his wife, Charlene Roppolo; children, Devit Rock and husband, Mark, Kyle Roppolo and wife, Jaime, Chrissy O’Sullivan and husband, Kevin, and Chance Roppolo; four grandchildren, Taylor Roppolo, Elise Rock, Dylan O’Sullivan and Dawson O’Sullivan; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary and Ray Delaune, Lena and John Accomando, and Carol and Donald Thibodeaux; sister-in-law and brothers-in-law, Tina and Joe Territo, and Charlie Habig; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Victoria Roppolo; three brothers, VJ, Harry, and Sammy Roppolo; one grandson, Jared Rock; and a niece and nephew. Pallbearers will be Mark Rock, Kevin O’Sullivan, Charlie Habig, Gerard Accomando, Al LaPorte, Sr, Pat Miller, Trey Habig, and Joe Territo. Honorary pallbearers will be Ray Delaune, John Accomando, and Donald Thibodeaux.
