"Lester Rapp was a native of Libertyville, IL, and a longtime resident of Baton Rouge. He passed away Saturday, November 11, 2017, at age 87. Lester was a chemical engineer with Kaiser Aluminum and Chemical Corporation, retiring after 26 years of service. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran. He is survived by his son, Erich Rapp; and wife Alexis; and their daughter, Abby Mixon. Preceded in death by his wife of 30 years, Mary Ann Chandler Rapp; and parents, William and Margaret Lockhart Rapp. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government Street, Monday, November 13, 2017, after 1 pm until memorial services at 2 pm. A private interment will follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Baton Rouge Area Foundation.
