
Beloved husband of Judith "Judy" Gresh Wallace for 38 years, and a writer for The Advocate since 1978, he passed away Sunday, Nov. 12, 2006, at Hospice of Baton Rouge at Ollie Steele Burden Manor. He was 59. Jerry was a resident of Baton Rouge, a native ofCovington, Ky., and a U.S. Navy veteran. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Saturday, Nov. 18, from 10 a.m.until memorial service at 11 a.m., conducted by Rick Pitcher, chaplain. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his mother-in-law, Roberta S. Gresh, St. Petersburg, Fla.; nieces, Alice Bethia Wallace, Gainesville, Fla., and Mimi Wallace, St. Cloud, Fla.; nephews, Lew Galen Wallace, St. Cloud, and Patrick Gresh and Matthew Gresh, both of St. Petersburg; sisters-in-law, Bethia Caffery Wallace, St. Cloud, and Judy Quinlivan Gresh, St. Petersburg; brother, Cleve Michael Wallace, St. Cloud; brother-in-law, Earl P. "Bud" Gresh II, St. Petersburg; and many loving friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Alice Kepler Wallace, and father, Lew Wallace. Jerry's hobbies included golfing, traveling, reading and spending time with friends, family and pets.
