Liera F. Porche, a native of Church Point and a resident of Baton Rouge, passed away on Monday, August 2, 2021, at the age of 81. She was a friend to many and dearly loved her family. She was devoted to her husband, Emmitt, and loved LSU sports. She was faithful to her church and prayed the Holy Rosary every day. She is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Porche; her son, Chris Porche and his wife Belinda Porche; her grandson, Brent Porche and his wife Crystal Porche; her granddaughter, Kayla Reggio and her husband, Ian Reggio; six great-grandchildren: Braiden Porche, Owen Porche, Emmitt Reggio, Noah Reggio, Camille Reggio, and Damon Reggio. She is also survived by her siblings: Reivers Faul, Evelyn Faul Huval, Eva Jeanne Miller, and Clinton Faul. She is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Emmitt E. Porche; her parents, Valmont and Laura Faul; great-granddaughter, Mallory Reggio; and siblings: Mavis Douga, Mable Dies, Emma Ballard, Theresa Briscoe, Maurice Faul, Gilbert Faul, Gervais Faul, Emery Faul, Valmont Faul, Jr., and R A Faul. Visitation will be on Friday, August 6, 2021, from 12:30pm until Mass of Christian Burial at 2:00pm at St. Isidore Catholic Church, 5657 Thomas Road, celebrated by Father Frank Bass. Serving as Pallbearers will be: Brent Porche, Ian Reggio, Ernest Huval, Tony Huval, Craig Huval, and Scott Huval. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. In accordance with current guidelines, face masks must be worn.
