Linda Leddy Monies, a resident of Baton Rouge and former resident of Arabi, LA peacefully passed away in her home surrounded by her family on Friday, November 14, 2025, at the age of 84. Linda was the daughter of the late James B. Leddy and Mirian Cannon Leddy. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald P. Monies to whom she was married for 62 years. She is survived by her three children, Leslie Bodenheimer (Raymond, Jr.), Paul Monies (Beth), and Jeaneen Schmitt (Glenn); eight grandchildren, Rachel Sellhorn (Jeremy), Jacob Bodenheimer, Sasha James (Alexis), Dylan Monies, Brian Schmitt, Adam Schmitt, Kyle Schmitt, and Caroline Monies; and two great grandchildren, Audrey Reid and Benjamin Reid. She is also survived by her beloved brother Gerald J. Leddy (Angél), two sisters-in-law Ruby Uhle and Bessie Senac, and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends. She will be deeply missed but leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, strength, and compassion that lives on in all of us. Linda was a devout Catholic and an active parishioner of Saint George Catholic Church. Her faith led her to always find the good in others and bring comfort and help to those in need. She formed a strong community of friends within the church and enjoyed participating in the women’s prayer group, serving the church and local retirement community as a Eucharistic Minister, and being a part of the church cleaning team each Monday following morning mass. She knew the power of prayer and was committed to praying for those in need as part of the prayer line team. She was also devoted to the rosary which was a source of strength. Linda was a longtime employee of ExxonMobil until her retirement in 2003. Visitation will be held at St. George Catholic Church on Friday, November 21, 2025, from 10:30AM - 12:00PM followed by a mass of Christian burial and interment at the church cemetery (7808 St. George Drive, Baton Rouge, LA 70809). In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to St. Vincent de Paul of Baton Rouge (P.O. Box 127 Baton Rouge 70821-0127).
