
A beloved husband, father and friend, Linus James Guillory, 72, of Baton Rouge, died Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2009, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Bunkie on Feb. 7, 1937. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Denham Springs, and Electricians Local 995 for 50 years. Preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Betty Ann Guillory, the mother of his children; brothers, Dan Guillory and Burke Guillory; and sisters, Rose Kohler and Maydell Blair. Linus is survived by his wife, Dorothy Sellers Guillory; daughters, Donna G. Reason and husband Randy Reason, and Carol G. Awawdeh and husband Jamal Awawdeh; son, David P. Guillory and wife Laura Gail Guillory; grandchildren, Nichole R. Michelli and husband Gavin Michelli, Cody Reason, Stephan Belle, Adam Awawdeh, Malick Awawdeh and Sereen Awawdeh; stepchildren, Kathy Thigpen, Sharon Harris and Roland Sellers; and stepgrandchildren, Russell and Angela Johns, LeAnna and Matthew Tores, Danny and Mindy Verberne, Danny and Angela Sellers and Hunter Harris. Pallbearers will be Cody Reason, Stephan Belle, Gavin Michelli, Bryan Guillory, Hunter Harris and Danny Sellers. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Friday, Nov. 27, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a rosary at 6 p.m. Visiting at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Denham Springs, on Saturday, Nov. 28, from 9 a.m. until Mass at 10 a.m., with the Rev. Frank Uter, celebrant. Graveside service at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church Mausoleum, Hessmer, at 2 p.m., officiated by Deacon William Blair.
