Lisa Levert Lusk peacefully passed away at her home on Friday, Jan. 19, 2007, at 7 p.m.She was a native of Brusly, a graduate of LSU and was retired from the state of Louisianaas the assistant division administrator for the Compensation Division. She was also a recipient of the 2007 Dunbar Award. Visitation will be at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government St. on Sunday, Jan. 21, from 6 p.m.to 9 p.m.Visitation will resume at St. Johnthe Baptist Catholic Church in Brusly on Monday, Jan. 22, from 10 a.m.until Mass at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Matthew Lorrain. Entombment will follow in the church mausoleum. She is survived by her son, Daniel Joseph Lusk; mother, Genevieve Peavy Levert; five older sisters, Gayle Levert and partner Madeline Mandell of Santa Fe, N.M., Janis Levert Stoner, and Clare Levert and husband Neal Harmon, all of Port Allen, Ann Levert and husband Robert "Bob" Byrd of D'Lo, Miss., and Jean Levert and husband Don A. Hood of Brackettville, Texas. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, David and Whelman Landry, Michael and Jason Nall, Jamie Lungaro Gaspard and L.J. Lungaro Jr.; and great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in the death by her husband, Daniel "Danny" Leslie Lusk; and her father, George Anthony Levert. Special thanks to Dr. Jay Brooks, his nurse, Michelle, and his staff. Pallbearers will be her nephews and Nicholas Gaspard. Honorary pallbearers are Walter D. Landry, Glenn Balentine, Alan Reynolds, The Flower Girls (you know who you are), Neal Harmon and Don Hood.
