Lois Clark, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and faithful servant of the Lord, passed away peacefully at her home in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, on March 8, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was 97 years old. Lois was born on January 31, 1929, in Ripley, Mississippi, to Marvin Johnson and Jessie Johnson, both of whom preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Betty Wilbanks, William “Billy” Johnson, and Bobbie Johnson. Lois lived a life defined by devotion to her family and a deep and abiding faith. She was a longtime and faithful member of the Goodwood Boulevard Church of Christ in Baton Rouge, where she found great joy in worship, fellowship, and service. Throughout her life, Lois was a constant source of love and support for her husband, Don, faithfully standing beside him through the many moves and opportunities of his career across the United States. No matter where life took them, Lois quickly made each new place feel like home, finding a church family, supporting local ball teams, and creating a warm and welcoming home for her family. Though she and Don made their home in many places over the years, Lois always held a deep love for her roots in Ripley, Mississippi. Her connection to her hometown and extended family remained strong throughout her life, and she held a special bond for her beloved grand nieces and nephews. Lois was an exceptionally talented seamstress, a skill she practiced and perfected throughout her life. She was also curious and forward thinking, becoming an early adopter of personal computer technology and embracing new tools that helped her stay connected and engaged with the world around her. She is survived by her devoted husband, Donald Clark; her children, Donnita House (David), Richard Clark (Jan), Glenda Pearson (Terry, deceased), and Wesley Clark (Pam). Lois was a proud grandmother to Jay House (Carrie), Sara House Rich (Josh), Clay Pearson, Cody Pearson, Jason Clark, Brian Clark (Taylor), Justin Clark (Danielle), and Travis Clark (Madison). She was also blessed with great grandchildren Jackson House, Emma House, Amelia Rich, Everett Clark, and Eloise Clark, who brought her immense joy. Lois’s legacy of love, faith, and devotion to her family will live on through the many lives she touched. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
