

Loretta Ann Benoit Naquin, age 85, a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 16, 2025, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She was born on August 22, 1939, in Thibodaux, Louisiana, to Sidney and Josie Benoit.
Loretta married the late Kirby Naquin, and together they raised three children: Gary Naquin (Lyric), the late Lisa Naquin, and Gwen Tiner (Kenny). She was a devoted grandmother to Reagan Morales (Chad), Cadienne Naquin Hopkins (Greg), and Grayson Naquin (Emmie), and a proud great-grandmother to Luke and Lane Morales, who brought her endless joy.
In the early years of their marriage, Loretta and Kirby moved from Thibodaux to Baton Rouge, where they built their life and raised their family. Loretta will be remembered as a supportive mother, a faithful friend, and a woman of patience and grace. She found beauty in gardens, joy in her church community, and cherished every moment spent with her family.
Loretta’s life will be honored at a Funeral Mass on Thursday, August 28, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at St. George Catholic Church, 7808 St. George Drive, Baton Rouge, LA 70809. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Burial will immediately follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park, 9595 Florida Boulevard, Baton Rouge, LA 70815.
Following the burial, family and friends are invited to join the Naquin family for a reception in the Greenoaks reception hall to share memories, stories, and refreshments in celebration of Loretta’s life.
Loretta has now returned to the Good Shepherd who guided her life, leaving behind a legacy of love, faith, and devotion that will continue to inspire those who knew her.
