Lori Pope

Lorraine “Lori” Matheson Pope, a resident of Baton Rouge, LA, died on December 5, 2023. She was born on October 4, 1959 in Alexandria, LA, and was 64 years old. She grew up in Alexandria, LA, before moving to Baton Rouge in 1981. She was a dedicated mother, grandmother and friend who enjoyed nothing more than to spend time with her family. Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 34 years, Chris Pope; her two daughters: Chrissy Turner, and Stephanie Pope Rogers and husband Garrett; her five grandchildren: Kaitlyn Roy, Sydney Roy, Ava Turner, Grayson Rogers, and Aubrey Rogers; and sister-in-law, Celia Pope. She also had three sisters and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father, Charles “Charlie” Matheson; her mother, Carol Mizer; and her brother, Steven Matheson. Visitation will be on Friday, December 8, 2023, at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd, from 10:30am until funeral service at 1pm. Burial will be on Saturday, December 9, 2023, at Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Pineville, LA at 11am. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Lori’s memory to the Susan G.
