A retired employee of the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development, he died Friday, Aug. 15, 2008. He was 80, a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran and a resident and native of Baton Rouge. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Tuesday, Aug. 19, from 10 a.m. until religious service at 2 p.m. Interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Dorothy H. Pennington; two daughters and a son-in-law, Jeannie Pennington and Janice and Carl Thornton; a son and daughter-in-law, Louis Pennington III and Cheryl Pennington; two sisters, Inez Cook and Wanzie Guy; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
