Margaret “Peggy” Lorraine LaBarbera, born in Scranton, PA and resident of Baton Rouge, LA for 49 years, passed away on Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at the age of 87. She was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church and belonged to numerous organizations such as: The Baton Rouge Garden Club, Baton Rouge Encore Club, Red Stick Readers, Republican Women of Baton Rouge, and Baton Rouge Chorus of Sweet Adelines. A loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, Margaret is survived by her daughter, Kim Young and husband Mike; sons, David LaBarbera and wife Sharon, and Barry LaBarbera; grandchildren, Jessica LaBarbera, Lance Corp. Scott LaBarbera, Emily Batten, Claire Dyason LaBarbera, and Neal Dyason LaBarbera; and great granddaughter, Stella LaBarbera. She is preceded in death by her husband, Anthony LaBarbera, Jr. and parents, John and Ann Farrell. She was the last living of her five sisters and brother. Pallbearers: Barry, David, Neal, Scott LaBarbera and Mike Young. Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 6, 2016 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 10925 Florida Blvd. Baton Rouge, LA. 70815, beginning at 9am until funeral service at 11am.
