
She was born on Dec. 2, 1929, in South Fulton, Obion County, Tenn., and moved to Baton Rouge in 1941. She died Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2007, at her home. She was retired vice president of Pelican Homestead and Savings Association, formerly Guarantee Federal Savings and Loan Association. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, whose family was the most important thing in her life. She is survived by her son, Michael Morgan; daughter, Pamela Morgan Mire and her husband, Dwayne; granddaughters, Melissa Morgan Ritter and her husband, Scott, and Linsey Morgan Sutton and her husband, Edward; and six great-grandchildren, Margaret "Molly" Stuart Ritter, John Morgan Ritter, Emmaline Elizabeth Ritter, Mary Morgan Sutton, Michael Edward Sutton and Annabelle Mai Sutton. She is also survived by her nephew, Douglas Edward Vicknair Jr.; and nieces, Sheila Vicknair Runnels, Teri Vicknair Callender and Donna Vicknair Drago, who were very special to her. She was preceded in death by her father, Joe Paul Taylor; mother, Sarah Robey Liszeo; a loving sister, Gertrude Taylor Vicknair; and nephew, Douglas Keith Vicknair. Visitation will be at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government St., on Thursday, Sept. 13, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visitation at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, 445 Marquette Ave., on Friday from 9 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m., with the Rev. Victor Messina, celebrant. Interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Special thanks to the staff of St. Joseph Hospice, namely Stacey and Kathy, her special caregivers, Gloria and Tina, Dr. Mark Hodges and his staff at Baton Rouge Clinic and to Mark at Rite Aide Pharmacy. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Joseph Hospice.
