
A wonderful loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Margaret passed away Tuesday, July 3, 2007. She will be missed forever by a multitude of family and friends. She was 85, born Dec. 5, 1921. Visitation at Sherwood Baptist Church, Flannery Road, on Thursday, July 5, from 9 a.m. until service at 11 a.m., conducted by Brother David Womack. Burial in New Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery, Baptist, at 2 p.m. Thursday. Survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Curtis K. Stafford and Bonny; two daughters and sons-in-law, Susan Stafford and Ron Thompson of Baton Rouge, and Nanci and Steve Tew of Monroe; seven grandchildren, Kimberly Johnson and husband Scott, Paige Lohman and husband Glen, James Stafford Summersgill, Kendall Stafford, Zachary Stafford and wife Kristin, David Summersgill and wife Julia, and Margaret Susan Summersgill; nine great-grandchildren, Murphy, Cecile and Rose Johnson, Bankston and Caroline Summersgill, Sammy and Susannah Lohman, Nelson Stafford and Emerson Stafford; brothers, Bolden and Jack Bankston; and sisters, Bertha Rogers, Ida Randall, Lilly Stensrud and Norma Miller. Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Curtis K. Stafford Sr.; parents, Bolden and Mary Bankston; three sisters, Gertrude Wittie, Lauresa Cutrer and Willie Ellzey; and a brother, John Lemuel Bankston. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Zachary Stafford and David Summersgill; brothers, Bolden and Jack Bankston; and sons-in-law, Ron Thompson and Steve Tew.
