Margaret H. Templet

“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.” 2 Timothy 4:7. A loving wife, mother, and grandmother went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday August 27, 2016, at The Carpenter House in Baton Rouge. She was an 86-year-old resident of City of Central, LA. She loved her family, watching sports and her time at the casino. Her family will always remember her for the large Sunday cookouts filled with food, fun and laughter. She enjoyed and was very proud of her large happy family. Margaret was a church member at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church for over 53 years and a devoted adorer in the adoration chapel. Visitation at St. Louis King of France, 2121 North Sherwood Forest Drive, Baton Rouge, LA 70815, on Tuesday August 30 at 11:30am until services at 1pm, conducted by the Rev. Michael Moroney. Burial will be in Greenoaks Memorial Park. She leaves behind three daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda and Pete Vincent, Mary and Ricky Martin, and Theresa and Larry Cockerham; three sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Charline Templet, Robert “Bobby” and Patti Templet, and Keith and Kim Templet; 16 grandchildren, Megan Talley, Melissa Janicki, Ronyell Dodson, Lindsey Allen, Garett Templet, Eric Amy, Erin Amy, David Vincent, Nicole Husser, Stacey Walock, Tiffany Shelton, Derek Templet, Brittany Templet, Logan Cockerham, Colton Cockerham, and Mason Cockerham; twenty-five great grandchildren; four sisters, Carmel McClure, Lorraine Chambers, Phyllis Mire, and Marie Cook; and two brothers, Jimmy Hubert and Johnny Hubert. Pallbearers will be Derek Templet, Eric Amy, Logan Cockerham, Garett Templet, Colton Cockerham, and Mason Cockerham. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 57 years, Olieus Joseph “Tut” Templet, mother and father, Edward and Lillian Hubert; daughter, Ellen Amy; one sister, Lillian “Tot” Montgomery; and two brothers, Gerald Hubert and Ed Hubert.
