
"Marie Manno Cashio, born September 9, 1926 passed away peacefully at home on September 26, 2017. She was a long time member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church. She graduated from Baton Rouge High School. After her three children were raised, she went back to work as an interior designer for 30 years. She spent her retirement bowling, playing cards and cooking for her family. She is survived by: her children, Wanda Cashio Calkins (Phillip), and Michael Cashio Sr.; daughter-in-law, Edith Cashio (Paul Jr.); grandchildren, Lisa Cashio, Eric Langley, Kimberly Calkins Lipari (Joey), Amy Calkins Teague (Travis), Marilyn "Necee" Calkins Clouatre (Thomas), Michael Cashio Jr. (Jamie), Samuel Cashio, Donovan Cashio, Madison Cashio, and Cord Cashio; great grandchildren, Madison Allyne Teague, Cinclare Drake Teague, Tomilyn Annice Clouatre, and Cali Cashio; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Paul Clarence Cashio, Sr., and a son, Paul Clarence Cashio, Jr., her parents Mr. & Mrs. Frank J. Manno Sr. and siblings Josie Fontenot, Norma Stewart & Frank "Bubbie" Manno Jr. Visitation will be from 9am-10am on Thursday, September 28 at Our Lady of Mercy Church, with a service and interment at Roselawn Cemetery to follow. Pallbearers will be: Joseph Lipari; Travis Teague; Thomas Clouatre; Michael Cashio Jr.; Phillip Calkins; Skipper Fontenot; and Frank Manno. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Cancer Services of Baton Rouge. The family would also like to thank her hospice nurses, Barbara and Bernice for their compassion.
