Marie LaBauve Stagg

Marie “Billie” Arbour LaBauve Stagg passed peacefully on Thursday, April 21, 2016 in her home surrounded by her loved ones. Marie was born on January2, 1922 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana to Marie and John LaBauve. She married the love of her life, Hilary H. Stagg. She is a graduate of St. Joseph’s Academy. She enjoyed ceramics, cake decorating, and playing with numerous card clubs. She was always ready to go on a road trip. Marie was a long time resident of Denham Springs, Louisiana and a World War II Veteran. She is preceded in death by her parents, Marie and John LaBauve; husband, Hilary H. Stagg, Sr.; sister, Juanita Mattingly; 2 grandchildren; and grandson-in-law. Marie is survived by her children, Linda Gray, John and Esther Stagg, Debra and Thomas “Gene” Campbell, Hilary H. Stagg, Jr., Kenneth W. and Karen Stagg, and Maria “Terrie” Stagg; siblings, John “Jack” LaBauve, Jr., Jules “Bo” LaBauve, and Winifred Landry; 9 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren. Visiting hours will be observed on Saturday, April 23, 2016 from 9:30 am until recitation of the Rosary at 11:30 am at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 865 Hatchell Ln, Denham Springs, LA 70726. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 12 pm. Interment to follow on the grounds of Greenoaks Memorial Park.
