Born on July 18, 1945, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Marilyn was the daughter of Ada and Jesse Jaye Quinn. She faced challenges in early adulthood due to a disability, but with the unwavering support of her parents and her deep faith, she persevered.
Marilyn was a graduate of St. Anthony Catholic School and Southeastern Louisiana University, where she earned a degree in education. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Richard Jaye "Dickie" Quinn; her sister-in-law, Barbara Achord Quinn; and her nephew, Jaye Quinn.
