

Marjorie Margaret Caillouet Dobson died peacefully in her home Monday, April 11, 2011, surrounded by her loved ones. To those who loved her, their lives will never be the same as she was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and loyal friend. She met each of her three battles with cancer and COPD with courage, strength, faith and optimism and was an inspiration to all who knew her. She was born Oct. 31, 1928, to Willie and Elista Caillouet. She was a lifelong resident of Baton Rouge, graduated from Istrouma High School and retired from the Louisiana Insurance Commission. She was married to Clinton Ross "Buck" Dobson for 48 years. Visitation at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., Thursday, April 14, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. until service at 10 a.m. Survived by her three daughters and sons-in-law, Tonya and Curtis Day, of Baton Rouge, Reynelle and Tommy Ewing, of St. Francisville, and Gina and Steve Bailey, of Baton Rouge; two sons and daughters-in-law, Clint and Denise Dobson, of Baton Rouge, and Bruce and Susan Dobson, of Acworth, Ga.; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three sisters, Marie Taggart, of Nampa, Idaho, and Dorothy Vails and Patsy Lorio, both of Baton Rouge; and many nieces and nephews who thought of her as a mom. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Pallbearers will be Scott Bailey, Steve Bailey, Chris Day, Curtis Day, Brandon Ewing, Tommy Ewing and Billy Holladay. The family would like to thank Dee of Caring Angels who helped make her final days comfortable.
