Marjorie G. Thompson, age 97, passed away peacefully on June 16th, 2022. Marjorie is preceded in death by her parents, Roy Gianelloni and Margaret S. Gianelloni; husband, Russell A. Thompson, Jr; son, Douglas A. Thompson; and grandson, Jason Thompson. Marjorie is survived by her sister, Nancy Milton; sons, David Thompson and Donnie Thompson (Debbie); daughter-in-law, Bonnie Thompson; grandchildren, Donovan Thompson, Casey Remedies (Heath), Daniel Thompson (Charlene), Amanda Thompson, Lindsay Thompson, Maggie Peeler (Matt), and Riley Thompson; great grandchildren, Douglas, Daniel, Ella, Nathan, Davis, and Hannah.
Marjorie was a lifelong resident of Baton Rouge. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church. Marjorie was a graduate of UHigh and LSU. She supported the LSU Engineering Program through her many endowments and was an enthusiastic financial supporter of the LSU Alumni Association. Marjorie was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who enjoyed gardening, fishing, cooking, traveling, LSU football and spending time with her friends and family.

Visitation will be held Monday, June 20th, at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd, from 10:00 am with services to follow at 12:00 pm.
