
A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Mary died peacefully at her home in Baton Rouge Saturday, Jan. 7, 2012. Mary was born Nov. 4, 1930, in Parteen, County Clare, Ireland. She attended boarding school in Germany during World War II, then moved to the U.S. where she worked as a nurse, and later as a dental assistant. For many years, she worked with her husband Richard at his dental practice in Baton Rouge. She is survived by a daughter and son-in law, Erin B. and Robert L. Roland; two sons, Kevin R. and Brian R. Bradford, all of Baton Rouge; a sister and a brother-in-law, Rosi and David Kennedy, of Magee, Miss.; a brother and sister-in-law, Al and Cindy Kabelac of Madison, Miss.; and four grandchildren, Ashley and Gage Roland, and Melissa and Austin Bradford, all of Baton Rouge. She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Dr. Richard E. Bradford; father, Anton Lau; mother and stepfather, Alice and Alois Kabelac; and a brother, Joseph Lau. Visitation at St. George Catholic Church, 7808 St. George Drive, Baton Rouge, on Wednesday, Jan. 11, from 9 a.m. until a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Entombment in the church mausoleum to follow.
