
Mary Dixon Callicott, a native and resident of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, passed away peacefully early Saturday October 10, 2015 at the age of 76. Mary is survived by her devoted husband of 55 years, Calliway Macon Callicott Jr.; sibling, Millard Wallace Dixon III; Three children, Calliway Macon Callicott III, Aby Callicott Hamrick and Millard Bradley Callicott; a son and daughter-in-law, J. Thomas Hamrick Jr. and Melanie Whitten Callicott; and six grandchildren, Aby Dixon Hamrick, Elizabeth Macon Hamrick, Cecelia Kate Callicott, J. Thomas Hamrick III, Adam Wesley Callicott and Stella Yvonne Callicott. Preceded in death by her parents, Millard Wallace Dixon Jr. and Yvonne Sevario Dixon. Visitation will be at St. James Episcopal Church on October 13th, 2015 at 9:30am. Funeral services will follow at 11:00am, officiated by The Very Rev. J. Mark Holland. Burial will follow at Roselawn Gardens of Memory. She is fondly remembered and will be missed by friends, family and her former students at St. James Episcopal Day School. Pall Bearers assisting are David Butler, Adam Callicott, Calliway Callicott, Millard Callicott, Thomas Hamrick, Tom Hamrick, Dan Holliday, Brian Kronenberger, Miles Pollard and Wilbur Reynaud. Honorary Pall Bearers include Warren Bofinger, Dr. Jed Morris, Emile Rolfs, Don Schneider, Dallas Ward and Kendall Wright. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. James Episcopal Day School Library Fund at 445 Convention St, Baton Rouge, LA 70802 or to Friends of Magnolia Mound.
