

Mary Ann Niehues Colclough, a resident of Baton Rouge, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at the age of 85. She was born March 3, 1933 in New Orleans. She was a member of St. Louis King of France Catholic Church for 49 years, and she served as a eucharistic minister, an advisor to the CYO, and a member of the Maynard Hurst Ladies Auxiliary. Mary Ann was a skilled seamstress who was most proud of making the gold pre-game flags for the LSU Tiger Band. Upon her husband's retirement, she enjoyed participating with him in the Senior Olympic Games, in which they played volleyball and shuffleboard together. Mary Ann also enjoyed spending time with her friends, The Aluminum Petunias. But nothing gave her more joy than spending time with her beloved husband Bryan and their family. Mary Ann was preceded in death by her husband, William Bryan Colclough, her parents, Ethel Kelone Niehues and Edward Niehues, and her brothers Edward and John Niehues. She is survived by her children Anna Colclough Dees (Chuck), Bryan Colclough, Timmy Colclough, Shawn Colclough (Erin O’Brien), Colleen Colclough Rabalais (Steve), and Erin Colclough (Nick Macaluso); her grandchildren Chuck Dees (Terri), Kelly Dees, Casey Colclough (Angela), Bryan Colclough (Stephanie), Kaitlyn Colclough Ervin (Matt), Brennan Colclough (Murphy), Patrick Colclough, Lindsay Rabalais, Lauren Rabalais Hendrix (Peyton), Amanda Rabalais, Holly Colclough, and Nicole Colclough; and her great grandchildren, Charlee and Teagan Dees, Brooke, Hailey, and Hunter Colclough, Austin Colclough and Madelyn Milton; her sister in law, Iris Niehues as well as numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Sheila and the staff at Amber Terrace. We are particularly grateful to caregivers Sandy Jarmon and Mia Stevens for the love and compassion shown to our dear mother. Visitation will be held at St.Thomas More Catholic Church 11441 Goodwood Boulevard on Thursday July 5, 2018 from 10:00 am until Mass of Christian Burial at noon. Burial will immediately follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park 9595 Florida Boulevard.
