
Mary B. Marchand Daigle, 80, was born in St. Gabriel on May 17, 1930. She lived in Baton Rouge 30 years, then Pierre Part for 26 years, before returning to Baton Rouge in 2003. She departed this life Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2011. She is survived by a brother, Evans "Pee Wee" Marchand, Denham Springs; three sisters, Wyona Falcon, Houston, Natalie Desselle, Ventress, and Dottie Engle and husband Dave, Baton Rouge; brother-in-law, Errol Daigle; eight children, Floyd J. Daigle Jr., San Antonio, Benita Ball, Central City, Curt Daigle and wife Debbie, Baton Rouge, Louisa Carter and husband Allen, Central City, Claudette Allen, Baton Rouge, Lovie Landis and husband Bruce, Port Allen, Janell Barber and husband Neil, Watson, and René Daigle, Baton Rouge; a daughter-in-law, Sandy Daigle, Walker; 10 grandchildren, Rane Constantino and husband Ray, Bill J. Ball and wife Cheryl, Connie Runnels and husband Reggie, Shane Allen, Chris Allen, Celeste Daigle Henderson and husband Mark, Benjamin Daigle and wife Megan, Kyle Barber, Austin Barber and Dalton Saizan; and three great-grandchildren, Raymond Constantino III, Evan Constantino and Ian Henderson. Preceded in death by her husband, Floyd J. Daigle Sr.; father, Joseph P. Marchand; mother, Nita Hernandez Marchand; son, John "Jack" Daigle; a brother, Charles Marchand; a sister, Violet Daigle; three sisters-in-law, Sister Doris Daigle, Lovie Daigle and Allene Marchand; three brothers-in-law, Leo Daigle, Damien Falcon and Tony Desselle; and sons-in-law, Ronnie Allen and Bill Ball Jr. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Friday, Feb. 25, was from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visiting resumes at the funeral home Saturday from 10 a.m. until the religious service at noon, conducted by the Rev. Chris Decker. Interment in Prairieville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospitalwould be greatly appreciated.
