
A homemaker and a resident of Greenwell Springs, she died Saturday, Nov. 18, 2006, at her home. She was born Jan. 14, 1926, inAugusta, Ga., and lived there until Dec. 5, 1945, when she married John Albert "Foxie" Jones after a post-World War II whirlwind courtship and moved to Louisiana. She was a fantastic cook and an excellent "self-taught" seamstress. She enjoyed watching CNN and loved sports, especially college sports and professional baseball and football. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government St., on Tuesday, Nov. 21, from 10 a.m.until religious service at noon,conducted by the Rev. James Parker, chaplain of Trinity Hospice. Burial will be at theBluffCreekCommunityCemeterynext to her husband of 53 years. She is survived by her daughter, Alice Townsend of Baton Rouge; two sisters, Jewel Morgan and Marian Peters, both ofAugusta, Ga.; and her grandson, Jasper Lee Townsend of Greenwell Springs. She was preceded in death by her parents, Nolan "Framp" Eubanks and Lilla Anderson Eubanks; father-in-law, John Charles Jones; husband, Foxie; and brother, Nolan Eubanks. Pallbearers will be Dale Miller, Tim Townsend, Dale Jones, Cherry Talbert, Louis Jones and Parnell Jenkins. The family would like to express their sincere thanks to the staff of Trinity Hospice, especially Ashley and Michelle and to her caregivers, Sarah, Willie Mae and Shirley of Home Instead Senior Care. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children'sResearchHospital.
