Mary Ann Lato

Mary Ann Lato passed away on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at the age of 89. She was a resident of Pride, LA. Ann was a loving sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend that will truly be missed by all who knew her. She enjoyed cooking, making flower arrangements, and crocheting. Ann always looked forward to visiting her favorite place, Branson, MO. Above all, she cherished the time she spent with her family. Ann is survived by her husband of 64 years, Gene Lato; children, Deborah Barrilleaux (Wayne), and Timothy Lato (Kelli); grandchildren, Logan Lato, Erin Albarado (Brent), and Avery Beal (Allen); great-grandchildren, Charlie, Sophie, Kennedy, Amelia, Jane, and Julianne; sister, Linda Black; and a host of loving family members and friends. Ann is preceded in death by her parents, P.J. and Tressie Gurney; and brother, Bobby Gurney. Visitation will be at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA, on Monday, April 1, 2024, from 10:30am until the time of funeral services at 2pm. Burial will immediately follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ann's name to St. Alphonsus Liguori Catholic Church building fund.
