

Mary Ann Benton Lemoine, 90, a native of Breaux Bridge, Louisiana, and a resident of Denham Springs, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 14, 2026. Mary dedicated many years of her professional life working as an accountant with Thomas, Wilson, Ragusa, Uffman, and Co., where she was respected for her diligence and integrity. Outside of her career, she found great joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved cross stitching and was an avid Scrabble player. Some of her most cherished moments were spent playing Scrabble with her son, Kenneth. The two shared a spirited and loving competition whenever they sat down to play, creating memories that will be treasured always. Mary was a compassionate and gentle soul who always had a warm smile to share. Her kindness and loving nature touched everyone who knew her. She is survived by her son, Kenneth Lemoine of Phoenix, Arizona; her daughters, Janelle Calamari and her husband, Ed, of Melrose, Massachusetts, and Karen Musselman and her husband, Mike, of Denham Springs, Louisiana; her grandchildren, Elliot Calamari and his wife, Beth, of Massachusetts, Ethan Calamari of Massachusetts, Brad Billeaudeau of Prairieville, Louisiana, Amanda Billeaudeau of Lafayette, Louisiana, Kaitlyn Colvin and her husband, Joseph, of Rayne, Louisiana, and Natalie Musselman of Zachary, Louisiana; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin J. Lemoine; her parents, Maurice and Amanda Benton; and her siblings. The family would like to extend special thanks to Hospice of Baton Rouge, her nurse Christina Mizell, La Plantation Assisted Living, and Golden Age Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center for the compassionate care they provided. A private memorial service will be held, and she will be laid to rest beside her husband.
