
Born Nov. 15, 1922, in Grand Prairie, and a resident of Baton Rouge, she passed away Saturday April 9, 2011. Mrs. Vidrine was a member of St. Pius Catholic Church where she was involved in various ministries. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Sunday, April 10, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visiting at St. Pius X Catholic Church on Monday, April 11, from 9 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Alex Shelton. Burial in Roselawn Cemetery. She is survived by a son, Stephen Vidrine and wife Debbie; a daughter, Rita Vidrine Patton; five granddaughters, Dana delaBretonne and husband Larry, Michelle Munson and husband Brent, Dawn Noone and husband Michael, Ashley Waggoner and husband Ian, and Jeanne-Marie Cooper and husband Michael; and 11 great-grandchildren, Taylor Munson, Katelyn, Emily and Nicole Stevens, Charlie, Cate and Ellie Waggoner, Will and Chris delaBrentonne, and Molly and Andrew Cooper. She is also survived by brothers, Lloyd and Burnley Ardoin; and sister, Wilmur Weeks. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Vidrine; parents, Odette Deshotels and Dudley Ardoin; and brothers, Rufus, Russel and Louis Alvin Ardoin. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation for the kindness of the Amedisys Hospice Staff, her neighbors, family and friends. Pallbearers will be Carl, Mike and Larry Weeks, Larry delaBretonne and Ian Waggoner. Honorary pallbearer is Paula Weeks Hollingsworth. Her gumbo pot was always full and ready for company. Her laughter and grace will be missed by her family.
