White, Mary Katherine ScimecaA former accountant and lifelong resident of Baton Rouge, Mary Katherine White died on Wednesday, November 5, 2015 at Carrington Place of Baton Rouge. She was 82 and a native of Baton Rouge. Visitation will be at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, 14040 Greenwell Springs Rd, on Friday, Nov. 7, from 9:30 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am celebrated by the Rev. Michael J. Moroney. Burial will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Les and Connie White; brother, Sam Scimeca; five grandchildren, Jason White, Carmen White Langlois, John White, Karen White and Susan Cooksey; several great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members. Mary Katherine was preceded in death by her husband, Paul White; son, David White; sister, Janice Gayle Scimeca; and parents, Nick and Pansy Hattie Scimeca. She was a longtime member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church. Mary Katherine's family offers special thanks to the staffs of Cardinal Hospice and Carrington Place for their wonderful care during her illness.
