

Woodruff, Matilda Frances FrohlichsteinShe was born on July 21, 1919 and died on November 03, 2014 at Old Jefferson Community Center. On November 03, 2014 Matilda Frances Woodruff left this earth to join the Lord. "Miss Tillie", as she was affectionately known, was born to Ruth (Frohlichstein) Freeman and Nathaniel Frohlichstein on July 21, 1919. She was a devoted Christian and loved sharing the Good News of Christ with all types of friends and acquaintances. Matilda was a 25+ year member of the Gideon's International Auxiliary. In 1999, she had the opportunity to address the Louisiana Chapter of Gideon's International Auxiliary. She is preceded in death by her husband of 57+ years, Marvin L. Woodruff. In addition, she is preceded in death by her mother, Ruth (Frohlichstein) Freeman and her father, Nathaniel Frohlichstein, and her sister, Mary (Diffly) Byrd. Matilda is survived by three children and their spouses: Sharon&Jackie Parker, Jr. of Baton Rouge, James&Caroline Woodruff of Acworth, Georgia and M.L.&Brenda Woodruff of Baton Rouge. In addition, she is survived by 9 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, Thursday from 11:00am until the religious service in the chapel at 1:00pm, conducted by the Rev. Ron Lambe. A graveside service will be held Friday at 12:00pm in Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery of Monroe. The family would like to thank all the people at Old Jefferson Community Care and Hospice Compassus for the love and care they have given "Miss Tillie" over the past four years.
