

A native of Baton Rouge, he passed away Friday, March 28, 2008, at his residence in Baker at age 72. He was a retired operator for Exxon Plastics and was a first lieutenant serving in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean conflict. He is survived by his wife, Esther Strickland Bryson; daughter, Sharon Escue Griffith and husband Scott; sons and daughters-in-law, Randall and Rhonda Escue, Jeffrey and Threasa Escue, Daniel and Dollie Escue and Cary and Angela Bryson; grandchildren, Ashley, Dustin, Mitchell, Darrian, Mallorie, Jacob, Tabatha, Danielle, Jeremy, Danielle, Hollie, Brandon, Sarah, Kathryn, Emily, Joseph, Luke and Mary Frances; six great-grandchildren; and sister, Mozelle Caillouet. Preceded in death by his daughter, Sheila Marie Bryson; parents, Joseph Bryson Sr. and Loretter Chambers Bryson; sister, Laverne Bryson Ansley; and brother, Joseph Bryson Jr. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Sunday, March 30, was from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visiting continues at St. Isidore Catholic Church, 5657 Thomas Road, Baker, on Monday, March 31, at 10 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Fred Youngs, celebrant. Interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Randall Escue, Jeffrey Escue, Daniel Escue, Cary Bryson, Jacob Escue and Dustin Trotti.
