She was a retired businesswoman, a native and resident of Baton Rouge, and a former longtime resident of Colorado Springs, Colorado. Michael died at 9:30pm, January 01, 2014, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. She was 91. Michael was a member of Order of the Eastern Star, Grand Chapter of Colorado. She was a member of Central Church of Christ of Baton Rouge. Visitation will be held at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, Monday from 10:30am until the religious service in the funeral home chapel at 1:00pm, conducted by Rev. David Chisham Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. She is survived by her daughter: Kimberly A. Fugleberg Seemann; sister: Virginia Floyd Wilson; one grandson: Tyler C. Fugleberg; and numerous nieces and nephews. Michael was preceded in death by her husband: Joseph B. Guynes (Retired Colonel, USAF); her parents: Preston M. Floyd, Sr. and Georgia Croswell Floyd; sister: Marion Floyd Flowers; brother: Preston M. Floyd III. Memorial donations may be made to the Disabled American Veterans.
