
Michael J. Mancuso, born Dec. 6, 1926, passed at 2:45 p.m. Friday, March 14, 2008, with his family at his side. He was 81, a resident of Greenwell Springs and a native of Port Allen. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He retired as a bus driver from Trailways/Greyhound Bus Co. in 1990. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Sunday, March 16, was from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., with a rosary service at 6 p.m. Visiting at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church on Monday from 9:30 a.m. until religious service at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Michael Moroney. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Virginia D. Mancuso; daughters and spouse, Linda and Billy Smith, Vickie Seal, and Tammy and Johnny Ringo; sons and spouses, Michael J. "Jimmy" and Edna Babin Mancuso, Ronnie and Linda Mancuso and Larry and Bertha Mancuso; grandsons, Todd Smith, Michael J. Mancuso Jr., Tyler Mancuso, Stephen A. Mancuso, Ronnie Mancuso Jr., Brandon Ringo and Curtis, Byron and Michael Seal; granddaughters, Kim Wallace, Amy Smith, Jaime May, Kristi Knight, Valerie Mancuso, Jennifer Booty, Meghann Ringo, Lori Broussard and Ashley Adams; 25 great-grandchildren; his brother and sister-in-law, Howard and Eunice Mancuso; sisters and brother-in-law, Beverly Delcambre and Betty and Dwayne Biers. He was preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Delphine Bello Mancuso; brother-in-law, Woody Delacombre; and his first wife, Hazel Welch Mancuso. Pallbearers will be his grandsons.
