A retired teacher and a resident of Baton Rouge, she died at 4:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 29, 2008, in Austin, Texas. She was 90 and a native of Commerce, Texas. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government St., on Thursday, Oct. 2, was from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visitation at St. Aloysius Catholic Church on Friday from 10 a.m. until religious service at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Paul Yi. Interment in St. Mary's Cemetery, New Roads, at 1:30 p.m. Friday. Survived by a daughter, Dianne M. Crawford, Austin; three sons, David R. Morrison, Conroe, Texas, William B. Morrison, Alameda, Calif., and Joseph M. Morrison, Baton Rouge; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, Farnham L. Morrison. She received her bachelor's degree in education from East Texas State Teacher's College and master's degree in education from LSU. She taught middle school in East Baton Rouge Parish public schools for many years. After retirement, she did volunteer work at St. Aloysius Church, Magnolia Mound, Rural Life Museum and Eye Bank at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center.
