Mille, 87, born March 5, 1923, a native of Marksville and a resident of Baton Rouge, passed away Sunday, Aug. 15, 2010. Millie was a loving wife, homemaker and an avid bowler. Survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Anthony "Tony" Ventrella; two sons and daughters-in-law, Johnny and Kathy Ventrella and Gary and Joani Ventrella; sister and brother-in-law, Earline and Frank Gordon; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Marie and Warren Sanders; eight grandchildren, April V. Breaud, Angela V. and Doug McDonald, Melissa V. and Greg Manchester, Sonny Ventrella, Joey and Ashley Ventrella, Jamie and Todd Daigle, Ryan Ventrella and Lauren Ventrella; 13 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents, Ferrier and Etic Dupree; infant daughter, Marie; three brothers, sister, and cherished pets, Jamie and Cookie. Visitation at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., on Tuesday, Aug. 17, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visitation continues on Wednesday, Aug. 18, at St. Isidore Catholic Church from 9 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m., with the Rev. Fred Youngs, celebrant. Interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park.
