Monica Rabalais Soday

Monica Rabalais Soday a resident of Baton Rouge and member of Journey Church passed away Monday March 17th, 2025 at the age of 61. Monica loved the Lord and cherished Sunday morning church with her grandson Matthew and then breakfast at Waffle House afterwards. Monica also loved to dance and never missed a chance to listen to a good live band. She was a licensed horticulturalist. Who loved plants and the family she built at Clegg's nursery where she worked for the past 24 years. She has survived by daughters Amanda and Samantha Soday, grandson Matthew Jacob, bonus granddaughters Cadence and Braelyn Scott, sisters Valerie and Gibson Gant, Joann and Buddy Saucier, brother Donnie and Donna Rabalais, sister-in-law Janie and Bill Miller, brother-in-law's Ken and Chuck Soday, a host of nieces and nephews and a group of cherished friends including dear friend Amy Bencaz and best friend since childhood Marilyn LaSalle. She was preceded in death by husband Frank J. Soday, parents Donald and Rita Rabalais , mother-in-law Hortense Soday and sister Mary Rose Stewart. Services will be held Thursday March 27th, 2025 at Journey Church 17407 Greenwell Springs rd. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. with memorial service beginning at 12:30. In lieu of flowers the family asks that you make a donation to the American Cancer Society in Monica's name.
