Myrtle Mullen Alexander

A retired beautician and a resident of Baton Rouge, she died at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2009, at Sherwood Manor Nursing Home. She was 70 and a native of Summit, Miss. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., was on Wednesday, Feb. 11, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., with Eastern Star service at 8 p.m. Visiting resumes at the funeral home on Thursday from 8 a.m. until religious service at 10 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Danny Smith. Interment in Enon Cemetery, McComb, Miss. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, L.W. Alexander; two daughters, Shari Péré and husband Henry, and Robin Hamilton and husband Danny; a son, Tim Alexander and wife Debbie; a brother, Maxie Mullen; grandchildren, Megan Alexander, Lauren Bateman, Ryan Alexander, Clinton Hamilton, Chelsea Péré, Camille Péré, Carley Péré and Henry Péré; and great-grandchildren, Jason Bateman and Codi Bateman. Preceded in death by her parents, Leon and Trudia Mullen; sister, Margie Smith; and brother, Joe Mullen. She was a member of Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 23.
