

Nathan Charles Yarbrough, 27, died in Baton Rouge on Monday, March 2, 2009. Born in Baton Rouge, Nathan spent most of his childhood in Corpus Christi, Texas, returning to Baton Rouge for high school. In 2000, he graduated from Northdale Magnet Academy and briefly attended Southeastern Louisiana University. An extremely intelligent and diligent worker, Nathan was a valued employee of Allied Alarm Systems. He was a kind and compassionate man who loved animals and his infant son. A gentleman and good friend, Nathan will be missed greatly. Nathan is survived by his mother, Katherine Griffin Yarbrough, of Houston; father and stepmother, Charles and Virginia Yarbrough, of Baton Rouge; older brother, Ian Yarbrough, of Bloomington, Ind.; two younger sisters, Julia and Marie Yarbrough, both of Baton Rouge; and an infant son, Caleb Bennett. His loss is also mourned by grandfather, Carl Griffin; aunts and uncles, Bill and Melinda Griffin, of Colorado Springs, Colo., John Griffin, of Austin, Texas, David and Scott Griffin and Jill and Robert Harris, all of Corpus Christi, and April Lauper, of Houston; and 11 cousins throughout the country. A memorial service for Nathan is planned for 1:30 p.m. Friday, March 6, at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., with visitation beginning at 1 p.m.
