A mother and homemaker, she died Sunday, March 4, 2012, at the Baton Rouge General Medical Center-Bluebonnet at the age of 86. She was a native of New Orleans, raised in Amite and resident of Baton Rouge for 60 years. She served as a substitute teacher in the parish school system for many years. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Wednesday, March 7, from 10:30 a.m. until the religious service at 1 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Bobby Rayburn. Interment service at 3 p.m. at the Amite Cemetery, Amite. She is survived by two sons, Paul R. Reeves Jr. and wife Betty, of Baton Rouge, and Nelson Adams Reeves, of Jensen Beach, Fla.; and a daughter, Lucie Reeves Barilleau and husband Paul, of Albany; five grandchildren, Elizabeth Reeves Deubler, Amy Reeves Bartholomew, Travis Reeves, Adam Barilleau, Zachary Barilleau, Aaron Rogers, Adam Rogers and Amy Rogers Crain; and a great-grandson, Reeves Deubler. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Paul R. Reeves. She was a member of the Broadmoor Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Broadmoor Baptist Church.
