Norma Jean Dillon, age 79, passed away Saturday, November 23 at her home after a short illness. She leaves a husband of 58 years, Jimmy Dillon, a son James Steven Dillon, daughter-in-law Catherine Dillon, granddaughter Lydia Dillon of Conway Arkansas, daughter Melanie Ann Long, son-in-law Lenny Long, and grandson John Long of Baton Rouge. Norma retired as Principal of Lanier Elementary School in 1992. Norma received a BS degree from LSU in 1955 and a MS degree in 1970. While in college, she served as President of the Alpha Chi Omega Sorority and was a Sweetheart of the Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity. Norma was a member of the Broadmoor Baptist Church and Order of Eastern Star. A memorial Service will be held at Rabenhorst East Funeral Home, 11000 Florida Blvd at 11:00 AM on Wednesday November 27, 2013. Visitation at 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM prior to service. She is preceded in death by her parents, Vernon and Lena Price. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the St Joseph Hospice or Cancer Services of Greater Baton Rouge.
