Norman Louis Horn Jr., born August 9, 1919, died Tuesday, June 10, 2014, at his residence in Covington, LA, at the age of 94. He was born in Lewistown, PA, to the Rev. Norman Louis Horn Sr. and Elizabeth Ritchie Horn. Dr. Horn was a retired phytopathologist from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, LA. He is survived by his wife, Claudette Horn; two sons, Norman L. Horn III of Sam Rayburn, TX, and John R. Horn and his wife, Debra, of Sunset, LA.; and one granddaughter, Holly Marie Horn of Lafayette, LA. He was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife, Lucile D. Horn. Memorial services will be held at 10:45 a.m. Sunday, June 22, 2014, at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 1 N. Marigold Dr., Covington, LA 70433. Services will be conducted by Pastor Rev. Stephen Biegel. A reception will follow immediately in the Family Life Center for family and friends.
