"Olga peacefully at her home on Tuesday, April 4th at 10:30 pm. She was 66 years old and a native of Baton Rouge, LA. Gere was a devoted wife, mother, homemaker, writer, artist and jeweler. She was strong in her faith and a member of St. Jean Vianney Catholic church. On the rare occasions when she didn't have a book in hand she could be found at her jewelry bench stringing beads. Her last days were spent making rosaries to be given to the church, friends and family. Gere is survived by her husband of 49 years Don Zuelke, a son Layne Zuelke; daughter-in-law Laura Zuelke and grandson Benjamin Zuelke, as well as her sisters Georgie Duhon Vinet, Renee Duhon Louque, Lynn Duhon Brown and a brother Bo Duhon. She is preceded in death by her son Ryan Zuelke and parents Audrey Duhon and Joyce Verdun. Services will be held on Saturday April 8th at St Jean Vianney church, 16266 S. Harrells Ferry Rd , to be led by Father Tom Ranzino. Visitation at St Jean Vianney will commence at 11 am followed by a Mass at 1 pm and then burial at Greenoaks Cemetery.
