Oliver "Ollie" Boyd a native of Jena and resident of Jackson passed away Friday, May 20, 2016 at the age of 85. Mr. Boyd was the retired owner of Southern Inspection Services and a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Visitation will be at the Second Baptist Church in Jackson, La. on Monday, May 23, 2016 from 9:00am until funeral services at 1:00pm officiated by Rev. Clark Fooshe, Jr. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Ollie is survived by his wife of 43 years, Patricia Boyd; a daughter and son-in-law, Connie and Sammy Deeds; and two sons and a daughter-in-law, Jeffery Boyd and Neal and Becca Boyd. Preceded in death by two sons, Raymond and Michael Tyler; parents, and fourteen siblings. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation for the excellent care provided to our husband and father by the staff of Villa Feliciana.
